Deutschfreunde für Dezember: German Games Night, Fußballfreunde, Flimmerkiste, Boxing Day Treffen

This message is to advise you of the activities I'll be hosting at the German Canadian Cultural Association-Edelweiss Club (108 Niagara Street in James Bay) during the month of December.

German will indeed be spoken, great for anyone who'd like to improve or keep up their German, or just to make new friends through the German language. German speakers of all levels are welcome!

Join us for board games and conversation. Gambit 7, a trivia game, has been a big hit! Play it join other modern classics like Die Siedler von Catan, Auf Achse, Zug um Zug Märklin, Bohnanza, Scrabble, Tabu, Thurn und Taxis and 6 Nimmt!

As always, there will be German music and TV programming to enjoy as well.

Play a favourite, or try something new! A great way to socialize!

Come down to the club to watch German-language TV, films, documentaries and other programming. You'll find us upstairs in the Hubertus Klause pub in front of the big screen.

This month's presentation will be year-end programming from German TV: Christmas specials and 2010 in Review.

Come to watch, come to socialize!

The doors of the Edelweiss Club will be open on Boxing Day! All levels of German speakers are welcome!

You're invited to come for a walk around James Bay, followed by some seasonal conversation, German Christmas and year-in-review TV specials, music and activities upstairs in the Hubertus Klause Pub.

• DFB-Pokal (German Cup) action and highlights. Which teams will make it into the final eight? Coverage is from German TV, recorded earlier in the day.
