German speakers of all levels are invited to join in German-language activities--great for anyone who'd like to improve or keep up their German, or just to make new friends through the German language.
December get-togethers will, of course, be accompanied by the correct seasonal sweet German treats!
To view a calendar with these events directly, please visit Deutschfreunde. German Games Night will be scheduled by agreement amongst interested people and will take place at my home, or an alternate location such as the Edelweiss Club if numbers require a change of venue. Join us for board games and fun conversation! Gambit 7 and Bezzerwizzer Familien-Edition, both trivia games, have been big hits! I'm eager to get the language and memory game Eselsbrücke on the table, too.
Play these games among other modern classics like Die Siedler von Catan, Auf Achse, Zug um Zug Märklin, Bohnanza, Scrabble, Thurn und Taxis and 6 Nimmt! Linie 1 and ABC DRS 3 deutsch und deutlich, Die Speicherstadt und Filou: die Katze im Sack are also new additions for 2012. There is something for everybody!
As always, there is German music, TV programming (the last Schlag den Raab of 2012 will air December 15--will someone win 3 Million Euros?) and some age-appropriate beverages to enjoy as well.
Play a favourite, or try something new! A great way to socialize!

There are countless 2012 review shows appearing in German television in the next weeks, including one of my favourites, Galileo Big Pictures. You are welcome to suggest dates when you wish to view one with the company of other German speakers. Closer to New Year's, there will be of course be a chance to enjoy Dinner for One.
