Deutschfreunde für November: Amazon Order, German Games Night, Fußballfreunde, Flimmerkiste

This message is to advise you of the activities I'll be hosting at the German Canadian Cultural Association-Edelweiss Club (108 Niagara Street in James Bay) during the month of October.

German will indeed be spoken, great for anyone who'd like to improve or keep up their German, or just to make new friends through the German language. German speakers of all levels are welcome!

Amazon.de sells thousands of products and ships to Canada at a flat rate of 14 Euros per shipment. I will be coordinating an order again this year in order--it really is quite economical to order as a group! Anything that Amazon.de will ship to Canada, that is in stock, may be ordered, so browse away. Feel free to ask me to help you make a selection! E.g. a page-a-day Tagesabreißkalender from publisher Harenberg is a great way to have daily exposure to a language you're learning! Please contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Join us for board games and conversation. Gambit 7, a trivia game, has been a big hit! Play it join other modern classics like Die Siedler von Catan, Auf Achse, Zug um Zug Märklin, Bohnanza, Scrabble, Tabu, Thurn und Taxis and 6 Nimmt!

As always, there will be German music and TV programming to enjoy as well.

Play a favourite, or try something new! A great way to socialize!

Aus der Tiefe des Raumes...mitten ins Netz (2004)
German with English subtitles

Come down to the club to watch German-language TV, films, documentaries and other programming. You'll find us upstairs in the Hubertus Klause pub in front of the big screen.

This month's presentation Aus der Tiefe des Raumes…mitten ins Netz is a nostalgic movie about West Germany, a romantic comedy that's a love letter to the 1960s, Tipp-Kick and not least, Günter Netzer.

Before the feature there will be other programming from German TV.

Come to watch, come to socialize!
